In April 2025, Ajax Building Company hired Lasting Blueprint Productions to record owner training at the Mount Dora Public Works Facility. Ajax served as construction manager for the new facility.
The assignment involved recording contractor-led demonstrations of equipment and building systems. Filming took place on April 14, April 23 and April 24, 2025. The project resulted in seven finished owner-training videos delivered to Ajax.
What the Owner Training Covered
Ajax’s Training and Orientation Agenda covered equipment purpose and operation, maintenance and troubleshooting. Site demonstrations of equipment operation were also part of the training.
The seven finished videos covered the exhaust fan, fire pump room, hydraulic dock leveler, irrigation controller, lighting control system, overhead doors and standby generator.
The lighting-control session covered ceiling sensors, power packs and emergency lighting. During the dock-leveler session, the contractor demonstrated the touchscreen controls and cycled the equipment to show how it operated.
Lasting Blueprint Productions recorded the instruction provided by the contractors and the equipment being demonstrated.
How the Training Was Recorded
The Mount Dora owner training was filmed by one operator using two cameras and a wireless lavalier microphone.
One camera captured a wider view of the trainer and demonstration, while the second focused on controls, equipment details and specific actions. Coverage followed the contractor’s instruction, with additional views recorded when needed to clearly show a component or movement.
Editing and Delivering the Training Videos
The recorded sessions were edited into seven finished owner-training videos for Ajax Building Company.
Editing kept the training largely intact. Closer camera angles were used when they provided a better view of the equipment, while some dead time and unrelated material were removed.
Each video included a training title and Ajax branding. The videos opened with the Ajax logo on a white screen, included an Ajax watermark during the training and closed with Ajax branding.
The completed files were delivered to the Ajax project manager through Dropbox.
