Frequently Asked Video Production Questions
This page explains common questions about pricing, process, timelines, and policies before starting a project with Lasting Blueprint Productions.
How do I start a video project?
Projects begin by contacting Lasting Blueprint Productions to share basic project details. After details are reviewed, a quote is provided. Once the quote is approved, the contract is signed, and the retainer is paid, the project officially begins and the production date is reserved. Before production, clients provide required materials such as scripts, location details, access permissions, and specific project requirements. Final preparation details depend on project scope and are reviewed during pre-production.
Do you travel for shoots?
Yes. Travel availability depends on project scope and schedule.
How is video production priced?
Production and post-production are billed using hourly, half-day, or full-day rates, depending on project scope.
How does the initial retainer work?
A 50% retainer reserves the production date. The remaining balance is due after final approval if editing is included, or on the shoot day if not.
Are there hidden costs?
No. Quoted pricing reflects the agreed scope. If scope changes, additional costs are reviewed and approved before proceeding.
Do you offer discounts for multiple projects?
Pricing adjustments may be available for multiple projects or ongoing work. Details depend on scope, timing, and production requirements.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Accepted payment methods include ACH transfer, checks, and major credit or debit cards.
How long does production take?
Most projects take six to eight weeks from planning to delivery. Shorter timelines are possible for simpler assignments when materials are provided promptly.
Do you shoot in high definition?
Yes. All video is recorded in at least 1080p resolution.
Can you provide examples of past work?
Yes. Examples are available through the video portfolio.
Do you provide scriptwriting?
Scriptwriting is available, and clients may also provide scripts or outlines.
Do you manage full projects or specific phases?
Full-service production is available from planning through delivery. Support for individual phases, such as filming or editing, is also available.
How many crew members are on site?
Crew size depends on project scope. Many projects use a single videographer, while larger projects may require additional crew.
How long is a production day?
A standard production day is ten hours. Additional time may be scheduled and billed separately.
Do you provide post-production services?
Yes. Post-production may include editing, color correction, audio work, and revisions based on the project agreement.
How many revisions are included?
Projects typically include a review of a draft and one additional feedback round. Revision limits are confirmed before production begins.
Can changes be made after completion?
Additional changes or future updates may be requested. Costs depend on the nature and scope of the requested changes.
Do you also provide photography?
Yes. Photography services are available, primarily alongside video projects. In some cases, photography-only work may be accepted depending on scope.
Do you carry insurance?
Yes. Liability insurance is maintained.
