Our video production company in Orlando has filmed CxEnergy every year since 2017. The latest event took place at the Town and Country Resort in San Diego. It brought together leading professionals in commissioning, energy management, and building analytics. Co-hosted by the AABC Commissioning Group (ACG), Energy Management Association (EMA), and Associated Air Balance Council (AABC), the annual conference showcased advancements in building systems and facility management. From April 29 to May 2 we shot lots of education sessions, B-Roll, the Expo Hall, and people talking about how the event helps them so that people who could not make it in person can see how it works. The previous year’s CxEnergy 2023 Conference at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel featured a similar event video production effort.
CxEnergy 2024: Sessions, Expo, and Memorable Moments
The event had many sessions and activities. It started with TAB seminars before moving into the main technical sessions. These short seminars shared practical advice for TAB professionals, commissioning providers, engineers, and others. Topics included commissioning for safer buildings, balancing systems in existing spaces, and designing airflow in healthcare. People attending these sessions could earn AIA credits as well.
The main sessions took place in the Town & Country Ballrooms. Some talks discussed using technology to automate commissioning in healthcare facilities. Other sessions covered skills that future facilities teams will need. One panel that stood out featured women leaders. They spoke about sustainability, decarbonized buildings, and the challenges of working in an industry that’s often male-dominated.
We filmed every session, shot b-roll of the expo hall, and also filmed around the networking events. During lunch, the Tech Theater inside the Expo Hall hosted extra presentations where companies shared new tools and ideas.
The Expo Hall was lively. Vendors displayed tools, software, and systems related to commissioning, energy management, and HVAC. Some were showing cloud-based platforms to manage projects. Others brought smart building technologies to help save energy. There were also tools for airflow monitoring and software that tracks how building systems are performing.
ACG, EMA, and AABC: Leaders in Building Performance
CxEnergy isn’t just any event—it’s put together by ACG, EMA, and AABC. These are the groups leading things when it comes to commissioning, energy management, and balancing systems. They used the conference to show how their work improves energy use and building performance. Hospitals, schools, large office buildings—that’s where they make an impact. The event was a place for them to show what they do and to meet others in the industry.
Conference Video Production Services at CxEnergy 2024
For CxEnergy 2024, our Orlando conference video production company filmed technical sessions in the Town & Country Ballrooms and roamed around with a 3-Axis gimbal stabilizer for varied angles. We filmed parts of the building commissioning and energy management conference that gave it life — moments from the expo floor like attendees networking, product demos in action, and real testimonials from both attendees and exhibitors. These clips added authenticity and will help with future conference marketing. One attendee, for example, mentioned:
“This has been my first energy conference, and it’s been amazing. My favorite part of the conference is just the various panel discussions, and I really loved how the audience engaged in the conversation. I also enjoyed the exhibitor hall and all the networking that this conference provided.”
An exhibitor echoed this sentiment: “We’ve been coming to the CxEnergy conference for many, many years. It attracts people from so many different industries and backgrounds. For us, it’s an opportunity to educate people on what we do, what we’re seeing in the industry, and share ideas with our peers.”
Filming people’s comments at the conference shows why video matters. These moments help carry the event’s message further. They give others a real look at what the conference is about, even after it’s over.

Why Conference Video Production Matters
Videos like those help CxEnergy reach more people, bring back attendees, and stay relevant in the industry. At CxEnergy 2024, we created videos for ACG, EMA, and AABC. They’ll use these videos to promote future events and to train others in their field.
Encouraging Event Professionals to Consider Conference Video Production
Our work at CxEnergy 2024 demonstrated how effectively video can promote events in commissioning and energy management. The videos produced will continue to support ACG, EMA, and AABC by aiding in the recruitment of future attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors.
Video content extends the life of an event by enriching marketing and training materials. Whether you’re in Orlando or elsewhere, Lasting Blueprint Productions can assist with everything from full-session recordings to highlight reels and promotional videos, reaching a broader audience.
