Our Orlando video production company has filmed the CxEnergy Conference & Expo each year since 2017. The 2024 event took place at the Town and Country Resort in San Diego and brought together professionals in commissioning, energy management, and building analytics. From April 29 to May 2, coverage included technical sessions, expo hall activity, networking, and attendee testimonials.
CxEnergy 2024: Sessions, Expo, and Memorable Moments
The event had many sessions and activities. It started with TAB seminars before moving into the main technical sessions. These short seminars shared practical advice for TAB professionals, commissioning providers, engineers, and others. Topics included commissioning for safer buildings, balancing systems in existing spaces, and designing airflow in healthcare. People attending these sessions could earn AIA credits as well.
The main sessions took place in the Town & Country Ballrooms. Some talks discussed using technology to automate commissioning in healthcare facilities. Other sessions covered skills that future facilities teams will need. One panel that stood out featured women leaders. They spoke about sustainability, decarbonized buildings, and the challenges of working in an industry that’s often male-dominated.
Video coverage included b-roll of the expo hall and attendee networking. During lunch, presentations in the Tech Theater were filmed as companies shared new tools and ideas.
The Expo Hall was lively. Vendors displayed tools, software, and systems related to commissioning, energy management, and HVAC. Some were showing cloud-based platforms to manage projects. Others brought smart building technologies to help save energy. There were also tools for airflow monitoring and software that tracks how building systems are performing.
ACG, EMA, and AABC: Leaders in Building Performance
CxEnergy isn’t just any event—it’s put together by ACG, EMA, and AABC. These are the groups leading things when it comes to commissioning, energy management, and balancing systems. They used the conference to show how their work improves energy use and building performance. Hospitals, schools, large office buildings—that’s where they make an impact. The event was a place for them to show what they do and to meet others in the industry.

Looking Ahead to CxEnergy 2025 in Charlotte
CxEnergy 2025 is scheduled for April 28 to May 1 at the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel in North Carolina. The event will mark ACG’s 20th anniversary, with sessions planned on AI in commissioning, decarbonization, and energy management.
