Since 2017, we’ve handled conference video production for the AABC Commissioning Group’s annual CxEnergy Conference & Expo. The 2025 event ran from April 28 to May 1 at the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel, marking its return to the East Coast after last year’s conference in San Diego.
This year also celebrated ACG’s 20th anniversary. We produced the welcome video that opened the conference, which highlighted this milestone and set the tone for the days ahead.
Session Coverage at CxEnergy 2025
Over two days, our camera operators shot every session in four presentation rooms, filming speakers and panels on AI in commissioning, energy management, decarbonization, and data center case studies. Conferences like CxEnergy typically require multi-room video coverage, session recording, and highlight content that can be used for post-event marketing. Projects like this follow a structured workflow similar to how we approach filming a conference for documentation and post-event viewing. Each session was delivered as a full edit with synced PowerPoint slides and clear audio, creating an archive for the organizers, attendees who want to watch sessions again, and anyone who couldn’t attend in person.
Keynote: The Fortitude of a Champion
Bobby and Kristin Labonte kicked off the conference with a keynote on resilience and teamwork, sharing lessons from their NASCAR and pro cycling.
Conference Highlight Video, Testimonials, and B-Roll Footage
We filmed testimonials during the Grand Reception outside the Expo Hall, talking with attendees, exhibitors, speakers, and a scholarship student. The b-roll and testimonials shot by our event videographer were combined into a highlight video that captured the energy of the annual conference—an approach commonly used in event video production to summarize multi-day events.
